Which would you suggest the iPad keyboard with the dock or the wireless apple keyboard. If I do get the wireless keyboard would you suggest getting a dock to hold it up?

I would recommend the dock. It acts as a stand so you do not have to buy one. Also the screen is too small to look at from a far distance so you need to be close to the ipad anyway.

I was thinking of getting the bluetooth keyboard for iPad 2. This way I can take my much lighter iPad 2 to school to take notes on instead of my heavy laptop. But would this work? Is the iPad good enough for this? What kinds of apps would allow me to do this?

Which bluetooth keyboard is it. Some are flimsy and are not very comfortable to type on. I bought one and it works fine but I prefer to type on the iPad itself to be honest. Get the official Apple Wireless one, if it’s within your price range.
