Naturally, when looking to buy an item, you want to see if you’re really getting your money’s worth… One of the key items to consider is how the product you want to buy compares with similar or related products on the market. Today, we’ll take a look at how the JooJoo compares to the iPad.
JooJoo’s Perks over the iPad
-Higher Resolution than iPad (JooJoo features a 1366 by 768 pixel resolution compared to the iPad’s 1024 by 768 pixel resolution)
-Built-in camera (1.3MP) while the iPad doesn’t feature one
-USB drive is included (the iPad only has the 30-pin I/O)
-1.6 GHz processor (which is more powerful than the 1.0 GHz processor on iPad)
-Full adobe flash playback support at launch (Great news for gamers and anyone who uses flash)
-Earlier release (March 25, 2010)
-Bigger screen than iPad (12.1″ vs. 9.7″) – Note, this could be an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on how it is looked at. Some people prefer smaller screens, but many people consider this as an advantage.
-Sleek looking (could be argued)
Where the JooJoo doesn’t hold up against the iPad
-Heavier than iPad (2.4lbs vs. iPad’s 1.5lbs, while the difference is under one pound, many people prefer lighter builds)
-Thicker than the iPad
-Battery life is about half (5 hours of Wi-fi on JooJoo vs. 10 hours of Wi-fi on iPad)
-only 4 GB storage space on the JooJoo (choice between 16 GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage space on
the Ipad)
-Doesn’t support a 3G connection (this is a major set-back for many people)
Features common to both:
-Support for Multitouch
-Full HD capability
-Portrait or landscape view
-No Multitasking
-Support for Wi-fi and blue-tooth
-Same Starting Price ($499)

I was talking a look at the ipad on some website and I read that the Applecare section for the ipad only said it is only 2 years. Does anyone know why is not lasting 3 years like every other Apple product? Ok, well the iphone/ipods now says it is 2 years too on the Applecare. When did they all change to 2 years and not 3?
Doug from said http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/ipad-hardware-accessories/196299-why-ipad-applecare-only-2-years.html:
“Here’s my best guess: Turn around time. The iPhone/iPod are also getting 2 years because people tend to replace those a lot faster than an iMac, MacBook,(Pro) or Mac Pro. So it’s logical that since the iPad is not much more than an over sized iPod Touch, it will see faster, newer releases than a Mac will. If the Apple care were extended, that would mean whom ever is selling their iPad would be able to sell it with a year left on the Apple care, giving new buyers less incentive to purchase a new one as well.
NOTHING is done without $ as motivation in a decision making process. “
Does the JooJoo do anything besides access the internet? Can I write a document or spreadsheet? Can I install Skype? Can I create and save fillable PDF forms? Does it have a calculator and appointment calendar if I should happen to need it (and I do)? What if I want to play a game?
