Question by Travis C: Do workout supplements actually work?
Do workout supplements such as whey protien, creatine, nitric oxide booster etc actually work or is it mostly just a mental stimulator to make us think that it will help thus when taking it, will make us lift harder etc? The reason I am asking is because I am currently taking Force Factor, a strong protien blend called Russian Bear, and a multivitamin called opti-men. They are not cheap and I don’t want to waste money if they do not really work. I want to know the truth behind all the supplements out there. Are there any that really help? If so what are they?
Thanks!

Yes they work if you can afford them. You can spend 0 every 6 months or use it for your car insurance or something else. If you don’t then recovery will take longer or your workouts will drain you more especially once you start lifting super heavy weight. If you have the money to use on and use your muscles for a job or competing. If you don’t use your muscles for anything other than aesthetics, then it wouldn’t be worth it.

No body knows there are never studies done on humans just mice. You can look at reviews but most are done by the companies who make them. Look for real reviews of friends who’ve used the supplements otherwise
Multi vitamins are never a bad idea, protein and BCAA is good and time tested so is creatine.
Also I started taking tribulis terrustis extract (sp) its supposed to help with testosterone levels’which I don’t know if it helped with that but it made my peen bigger. Nothing is a magic pill though you have to work out to see results even with the proteins and creatines. If you have questions sometimes wikipedia helps because its unbiased for the most part but sometimes you can find an honest review. Review everything before wasting your money
No they do NOT work, 100% SCAM!
